Kodanad– Kodanad is a beautiful village which is located about 50km from Cochin along the Periyar river. It is famous for a small zoo called as Elephant Kraal and due to its serene beauty. Kodanad village is the only place for elephant-training centre in the entire state of Kerala. Here you can enjoy the elephant ride also.

Malayattoor Mount– It is located about 47 km from Cochin and is famous for a catholic church. Pilgrims gather here for the annual festival of ‘Malayatoor Perunnal‘, which is held in the months of March /April. It is believed that St Thomas visited this place in AD 52. It is a religious place for Christians.

Kanjiramattam Mosque– The Mosque is located in Kanjiramattom about 30 km from Cochin. It is believed that the mosque was built over the mortal remains of a Muslim saint, Sheikh Parid. During Kodikuthu festivities the mosque glows with joy and looks magnificent. Six ornately decorated elephants adds beauty to this religious festival.

Cherai Beach– It is located about 35 km from Cochin and is very beautiful beach . The beach have coastline of 15 kms and is very neat and peaceful beach ideal for swimming. It is located in Cherai village of the Ernakulam district.

Bhoothathankettu-Bhoothathankettu is located in Pindimana village about 50 km from Cochin. It is a popular tourist place and activities like house boating, journey to jungle, fishing and speed boating can be enjoyed here. The dam has a story behind naming of Bhuthathankettu Dam.

Cheeyappara Waterfalls The waterfall is located between Neriamangalam and Adimali about 10 km from Ernakulam Railway station. Cheeyappara Waterfalls is one of the most beautiful waterfall of Cochin city. Tourist can indulge in the activities like swimming, or just lay around and enjoy the beautiful place.

Chendamangalam– Chendamangalam is located in Paravur Taluk of the Ernakulam district of Kerala . It is famous for the Paliath Palace which is a around 450 years old. It is also famous for for its three rivers, seven inlets, hillocks and vast expanses of green plains.
