Kanathoor is the other name for Kannur. The Theyyam festival at Kannur is known as Theyyams at Kanathoor. During the Theyyams the singer portrays the thought provoking images through his dance steps and loud voice. The Theyyams later evolved into the Krishnattom and Kathakali.
