Mahe

Mahe or Mayyazhi is a small town that is surrounded by Kannur District and Kozhikode District of Kerala from all side , officially it is part of the Union Territory of Puducherry India. Mahe during historic time remained under French Control . British also captured Mahe many times but peace treaty was signed between the French and Britishers and it was handed over too French.

Vishu is the main festival in this area and there is also a famous church here named as Mahe Palli which is the famous pilgrimage for Christians here. The Saint Theresa Roman Catholic Church in Mahé is known in the region. The Annual festival, is conducted by the church between the 5th and 22 October every year.14th and 15th are main feast days.
