Anakkara is a small town located in Idukki District of Kerala State of India. The village is located in Kumily-Munnar Highway about 18 Km from Periyar Tiger Reserves. It is a famous tourist destination in Idukki and is continuously becoming hot spot destination for tourist in the district. It has a great scope for tourism in Spice plantations area since the village have beautiful expanses of Spice Plantations . Tourists can get a glimpse of farming, harvesting and processing of these spices by visiting the farms that offer plantation visits.

Spice plantations and soothing climate makes it a favorable tourist destinations, Thekkady and Kumily are also nearby the town . Since the village is on the state highway connecting Munnar and Kumily two of the most famous destinations in Kerala reaching the village is not a problem one can easily reach here. There are a lot of taxis, auto-rikshaws available in the village.
