Thenmala

Thenmala is a Eco Tourism destination of Kerala Located near Punalur town of Kollam District in Kerala. It was the first Eco Tourism Destination in India and is one of the famous spot for tourist from all over. A dam is also located here which is surrounded by lush greenery and offers great scenic views. The dam is built across Kallada River. Many Tamil and Malayalam Movies have been shot here due to its breathtaking vicinity.

Thenmala attracts foreign tourists too as it host loads of activities in Dam as well in surrounding areas like Boating on the lake, a rope bridge, trekking, mountaineering, biking and many more. Palaruvi waterfall is also located nearby it which is a major attraction here. In the nearby forests one can spot deer also. Thenmala is a great place for nature lovers .
