Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary– It is located in Chittur taluk in the Palakkad district of the state of Kerala. This place is few kilometers from Chalakudy. It is a protected area of 285 km². The Sanctuary was established in 1973. It is situated between the Nelliampathy Hills and Anaimalai Hills in the Sungam range of hills.
Solaiyar Dam– Solaiyar Dam is also known as Upper Solaiyar or Upper Sholayar Dam. This dam can be reached from Chalakudy too. It is exactly located just 20 km (12 mi) from Valparai, which is busy hill station in the Anaimalai range of the district of Coimbatore in the state of Tamil Nadu.
