Chalakudy is a municipal town located in Thrissur district in the state of Kerala in South India. It is rightly situated on the banks of the river named Chalakudy.It is located 36 km from Kochi if traveled by National highway no-47 and this spot is just 30 km from the district headquarter Thrissur.

By Air– Cochin International Airport in Nedumbassery is the nearest airport located about 22 Km from Chalakudy. The airport have regular national and international flights. Chalakudy can be easily accesses via Cochin.

By Train– Divine Nagar Railway Station (in Muringoor village) and Chalakudy Railway Station are located in the town. Chalakudy is operated by the Southern Railway Zone of Indian Railways, and comes under Trivandrum Railway Division.

By Road– National Highway 47 passes passes by the town that connects Cochin and Thrissur. Chalakudy has a KSRTC and private bus station in the town only.
