Chellarkovil

The village of Chellarkovil is located in the Indian state of Kerala nearby Kumily at an altitude of 1200 m above the sea level.Chellarkovil is a small village that is idyllic and serene and it can serve as a good destination for tourists who are looking for peace of mind and relaxation after a strenuous time at work.

How to Reach Chellarkovil

Chellarkovil is located about 15 km from Kumily which is one of the popular hill station of Kerala State. It is located about 47 Km from Idukki city center.

By Road– One can follow SH 19 and Munnar -Kumily Hwy/SH 19 route to reach Chellarkovil. One can reach Kumily very easily from Idukki there are many bus services .The National Highway 544 (NH 544) from Salem to Kochi and the Kumily – Kozhikode National Highway 213 pass through the district. Another important road is the Kumily – Ponnani which connects NH 47 and NH 17.

By Train– Two railway stations serve Kumily –Kumily Junction which is a broad gauge railway junction (located at Olavakkode) and Kumily Town railway station located in the heart of the Kumily town.

By Airways– 62 km away is Cochin International Airport
