Cherthala is a town located in Alappuzha district of Kerala India. The town is well known for various religious sites , temples, churches and many more. Cherthala is well connected with rail and road. Cherthala is a famous for its coir Industry , there are various coir exporting industries in the city. The town is located in Alappuzha district which is a famous tourist spot in Kerala.

Kuttikattu Sree Bhadra Kali Devi TempleKuttikattu Sree Bhadra Kali Devi Temple is dedicated to Lordess Bhadra Kali. It attracts lots of devotees to it . Kunguma Khalasam is conducted on the first Sunday of every month.

Maruthorvattom Sree Dhanvanthri Temple-Maruthorvattom Sree Dhanvanthri Temple is dedicated to an incarnation of Lord Vishnu Sri Dhanvanthri. Dhanvantari is depicted as Lord Vishnu with four hands, holding medical herbs in one hand and a pot containing rejuvenating nectar.

Arthunkal– Arthunkal is a pilgrimage center located about 8 km from Cherthala town. It is an important pilgrimage center for Christians, St Sebastian church is situated here.

Kadakkarappally– Kadakkarappally is famous for Kandamangalam Rajarajeshwari Temple and is important Hindu pilgrimage place. Marian Pilgrim centre Thankey Church is also located here which attracts lots of tourist and devotes to this place.

Pattanakkad– Pattanakkad is a small place in Cherthala town located about 6 km from town.Pattanakkad Mahadeva temple a popular temple is also located here which is believed to be one of 108 Shiva temples built by Hindu Warrior saint Parasurama.

Thiruvizha– Thiruvizha is located about 5 km from Cherthala. It is famous for Shiva temple. Temple is famous for its offering to devotees which is believed to possess medicinal and curative properties for mental illness.
