Arakkal Museum– Arakkal Museum is located about 24 km from Thalassery. The museum has put various heritage objects of the royal family on exhibition. The museum charges a small amount for visiting it. The old office and Durbar hall of the palace is converted into the museum.

Madayipara – It is a small place located in hill at a distance of about 47 Km from Thalassery. It has a historic importance. Madayipara offers you the fascinating view of the nearby area, like a bird view. There is also a fort here built by Tipu Sultan. It is green lush area beautiful flowering plants and variety of insect species can be seen here. Atlas Butterfly one of the biggest butterfly in world can be spotted here.

Payyambalam Beach – Payyambalam beach is located about 23 km from Thalassery. The beach is known for its scenic beauty. Many movies scene are shot here on the beach. Ships heading to Mangalore, Mumbai can be seen from the beach. A sculpture of a mother and a child by famous artist kanayi kunhiraman can also be seen near the beach.

Snake Park – Snake park is a famous place located about 37 km from Thalassery. Large varieties of snake can be seen here. Cobras, King Cobras, Rattle snakes and many more snakes can be seen, trained personnel’s put live shows here playing and interacting with snakes.

St Angelo Fort – St. Angelo Fort is located about 24 km from the city. It was built by a Dutch Don Francisco De Almedia in 1505. The fort is under the Archeological Survey of India.

Vismaya Water Park– An amusement park located about 37 km from Thalassery . Virtual waterfalls and Evening shows are the primary attractions of the park. Tourist come here to enjoy the water rides.
