Kadalundi– Kadalundi is a beautiful Bird Sanctuary surrounded by hillocks at the bank of river Kadalundi. It is located about 20 km from Kozhikode. The place is located at the lap of nature with scintillating beauty of river alonf the lush green forest. Birds from Siberia, Persian Gulf, Europe, America and Himalayan ranges flock here which attracts lots of nature and bird lover to this paradisaical place.

Nedumkayam– Nedumkayam is a beautiful lush green place about 18 km from Nilambur. There is also an elephant training center which attracts lots of tourist besides its natural beauty. The rain forest, wildlife and vegetation offers captivating view to the eyes.

Nilambur– Nilambur is a famous tourist place known for its teak plantation its in the way to Ooty located about 40 km from Malappuram. The oldest and tallest teak tree in the world, Kannimaree is a rare attraction.

Ponnani -Ponani is the only port in Malappuram district and it is known as Mecca of Kerala. There are about 50 mosques in the town. Ponani is one of the oldest ports of South India. Ponani is known for its backwaters and Boat races held during Onam festival.

Pazhayangadi Mosque– Pazhayangadi Mosque is a mosque about 18 km from Manjeri. The mosque is associated with Muhammed Shah, a Muslim saint from Persia and is popularly known as Kondotty Thangal. The mosque is built in unique Mughal Architectural Style.

Thirunavaya– It is located about 34 Km from Malappuram is situated on the bank of Bharathapuzha. It is famous for 6000 years old Thirunavaya Navamukunda temple which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is also known as Kashi of South.

Adyanpara– Adyanpara is located about 15 km away from Nilambur is famous for waterfalls and lush green jungles.

Kootai– Locally known as Kanoli Canal, boating facilities that includes shikaras which resembles a gondola, platform boats and speedboats that travels upto Azhimugam, 19 km are available here. The trip down the canal is a rare experience.

Tunchan Memorial , Tirur– Located about 30 km from Malappuram this is the birth place of Thunchath Ezhuthachan, the father of the Malayalam Language.

    There are waterfalls like swapnakundu, keralakundu and more.
