Festivals and Temples

  • Thrissur Pooram festival– The Pooram of all Poorams, is the most spectacular festival of this cultural capital celebrated at Vadakkumnathan Temple every year during April-May. Though non-Hindus are not allowed inside the temple, Kerala’s grandest temple pageantry, which includes colorful processions of caparisoned elephants and a midnight fireworks display, parasol exchanges, drum concerts can be witnessed from the crowded streets of Thrissur City.
  • Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple is a Famous Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, located in the town of Guruvayur in Thrisur.

  • Trekking– Located at the outskirts of Thrissur there are beautiful waterfalls located with beautiful surrounding and great place for trekking and adventure.
  • Athirappilly Falls is one of the largest waterfall in Kerala and most majestic one close to dense forests and a part of the Chalakudy river. Go for a great trekking experience fot this waterfall.

  • Anakotta – Guruvayoor Elephant Sanctuary– It is a place of Elephants of various sizes and Physical strength ,different nature. Place is spread over 10 acres land and there area bout 70 elephants kept here.
  • Thrissur Zoo– It is famous place for Children’s and Students. There you can see many animal Species here. There is a special building which houses snakes.
