Thusharagiri Waterfall

Located in the Western Ghats of Kozhikode District of Kerala Thusharagiri Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall in the natures lap. The waterfall is located in a small tribal village Tushargiri about 50 km from Kozhikode city. Two Streams originating from western ghats united here to form Chalippuzha River. Chalippuzha River after traveling to few meters diverges into three waterfalls the splashing of the water makes a roaring sound and snowy foams .Due to these snowy foams it is called as Tushargiri.The word Thusharagiri means the snow capped mountain. Of the three, the highest waterfall is the Thenpara that falls from an altitude of 75 meters.

Coming to this place tourist have various remarkable opportunity to enjoy the glory of nature. They can go for trekking, mountain climbing, and many more. It is also an ideal picnic spot. Trekking here around and in dense forest over cliffs and waterfall is a memorable experience.Tourist can visit here at its peak time that is between September to November.

By Road-Kozhikode is well connected by other cities of Kerala. Various bus service are there to this tourist destination. Kodencherry is the nearest town to Tushargiri village.
