Punalur

Punalur located in Tamil Nadu Kerala Border in the Kollam District of Kerala State is second largest city in Kollam. Also termed as "Lap of Western Ghats" it is famous for Paper Industry which was established in 1850. Kallada River flow by here which offers great scenic views.

Punalur is also famous fro a Suspension Bridge built in 1877 by Albert Henry across the Kallada River . The city is famous for its agriculture products like pineapple, pepper, and other spices. The Kallada river passing here is the famous tourist spot . It is also the major halting city for the pilgrimage going to Sabarimala Temple . Rugged Landscape of this city is ideal for adventure sports like Mountain Hiking and Biking experience. Apart from that Palruvi waterfalls are also located near by the town about 30 km away . Pattazhi Devi Temple is another attraction in the city.
