Kalady– Kalady is a small village about 20 km from Aluva. Kalady is a popular destination for pilgrims it is the birthplace of Sri Adi ShanLkara. There are various fanous and popular temples here like Shankara Temple, Manickamangalam Karthyayani Temple, Mattoor Thiru Vellaman Thulli Siva Temple and many more .

Kodungallur– Kodungallur is a famous pilgrimage place located about 27 km from Aluva. This place has a very rich history and has a archeological importance. It was the capital city of Chera dynasty. Excavation done by some archaelogists uncovered a plethora of archaeologically important materials.

Chottanikkara– Chottanikkara is famous for centuries old temple of the Hindu mother goddess Bhagawati.It is located about 35 km from Aluva. Thrupunithura hill palace, the Travancore Fertilizers and Mattancheri harbor are located nearby this small village which attracts lots of tourist.
