Nilambur

Nilambur is a town located in Malappuram District of Kerala India . The town is located at the bank of Chaliyar river near Nilgiris Range of Western Ghats . The town is famous for rivers , waterfalls and lush greenery . Nilambur is considered as the one of the beast places for Teak Plantations. Nilambur is home to worlds oldest teak plantations and world oldest living teak tree.

Conolly’s Plot is the plot that was the first teak plantation in world and it is still there , the town is also for Bamboo growing . A Teak Museum is also located at Nilambur which was the first Teak Museum in The World.
