Meenkara is Dam and a great picnic spot located about 32 km from Palakkad City in Kerala State of India. The dam is built over River Gayathri which flows into the Bharathapuzha. It is a great hang out place for local people and is not much popular place . Quite calm and serene surrounding makes it a great place for small vacation or a trip.
Coimbatore International Airport is the nearest airport from here . September to February are the favorable time for coming here.
