Dharmadam Island is a private island located in Dharmadam town of Kannur District in Kerala State of India. Dharmadam was earlier known as Dharmapattanam and was previously a Buddhist stronghold. The island is located about 100 meters away from Dharmadam maniland . It is surrounded by the Anjarakandy river on three sides and by the Arabian sea on the fourth side.
The island is beautifuly located near Muzhappilangad beach and one can one can walk out to it from the beach. Permission is required as it is privately held island .
