Vizhinjam is a coastal village located in Thiruvananthapuram City of Kerala India. It is a historical place that dates back to Ay Dynasty. The Portuguese and the Dutch had commercial establishments here. The village is known for its Ayurveda treatments and some of the exotic beach resorts in Kerala.

Old Vizhinjam Church is located in the Vizhinjam fishing harbour area. The fishing harbor here is a natural harbor. Vizhinjam have some the oldest and historic cave temples of Kerala , the cabe here cave has unfinished reliefs of Siva Kirata Murti and Lord Siva dancing with Parvati.
