Neyyattinkara Sree Krishna Swamy Temple

Neyyattinkara Sree Krishna Swamy Temple is a famous temple located in Neyyattinkara town of Thiruvananthapuram District of Kerala State in India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna in the form of Unnikannan as a baby Krishna . Marthanda Varma, the Maharajah of the Indian princely state of Travancore built Neyyattinkara Shri Krishnaswamy Temple in 1755.

The temple is constructed in Kerala Style Architecture and is located in vast land with many trees. Inside the temple you can see various beautiful paintings of Lord Krishna and his life events. The main gopuram (gateway) of the temple displays a beautiful scene from Bhagavad Gita – Lord Krishna offering teaching to Arjuna.

Shri Ganesha, Shri Naaga Raja, and Shri Ayyappa are also enshrined in temple complex. Travancore Devaswom Board manages the temple. Thrikayilvenna or Butter is the special offering in the temple. Some of the main festivals celebrated in temple with great joy are Ashtami Rohini, Vishu, Navarathri, Mandalapooja.
