Sree Anantha Padmanabha Temple The temple is one of the oldest temples of India build in Dravidian styles of architecture and is located inside the East Fort.The temple was built in 1733 and is devoted to Lord Vishnu. Inside the temple you can see the musical pillars, golden mandap, 500 pillared corridor famous for its sculptures and large collection of temple mural paintings.

The Napier Museum– The museum is built beautifully in Indo-Saracenic style. This museum displays rare archaeological and historical artifacts including bronze idols, ceramics, an impressive carved wooden cart, Buddhist statues from various parts of the country and some neighboring places, ivory carvings, chests, Balinese shadow puppets, various old coins.

Kerala Museum – Kerala Museum is built in Old colonial building presents a periodic history of Kerala from stone age and advance through rock art and stone tools to pottery, bronze sculptures, folk art and architecture and than modern period.

The Zoological Park– The Zoological park of the city is rich botanical garden and is the first zoo opened in India in 1843. The zoo consist of various animals, plants and birds. Museum is closed on Monday and is opened for Tue- Sun from 10am – 5 Pm.

Kanaka Kunnu Palace– Kanaka Kunnu Palace was built during the reign of the Travancore King is located near the Napier Museum. The palace has beautiful carving and architecture style for which it is known.

Shanghumukham Beach – Th beach is located about 8km from the city. It is a clean and peaceful beach. There is also a temple near the beach and the beach attracts many tourist. The sunset view from the beach is worth seeing.

Veli Tourist Village– Veli village is located about 8 km from the city the village is named after the Veli lake which here meets the Arabian sea. Its a famous picnic spot offering tourist boating facility in the lake. There is a beach also nearby it which makes it a famous place to visit.
