Cherai Beach also called as The Princes of Arabian Sea is a long beach located about 25 km from Cochin in the Vypin Island. The Cherai beach a calm and peaceful beach ideal for swimming and sunbathing.Tourist can enjoy the boat rides, beach volleyball, football, or take a brisk walk along the shore.Cherai Beach have a coast line of 15 km its deep and shallowness attracts lots of tourists and swimmer to this beach.
Locals come here often for picnic and relaxing. Locals enjoy kite flying here. It is one of the most beautiful beaches of Kerala which shows exclusive view of sea and backwaters with lush green coconut palms and paddy fields in its proximity. Water boats are available at the beach on rent, tourist can enjoy the boat ride on this scenic beach.

By Air– Cochin International Airport is the nearest airport about 20 km.
By Train– Ernakulam Railway Station is located about 40 km from the beach.
By Road– Cochin is is the nearest city to Cherai beach which is very well connected by roads to other cities of Kerala. From Cochin there are buses to the beach at regular intervals .
